The hotel has two restaurants, one serving contemporary Western fare mixed with local ingredients, and the other offering traditional Indonesian Balinese fare. Every month, on the full moon they even have a special dinner- outdoor dining overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Like most luxury resorts in remote locations, Alila Villas advertises a true commitment to the environment and sustainable tourism. Some of the features are use of local building materials and water conservation through rainwater harvesting. I hope this is a trend that continues around the world. You don’t need to sacrifice luxury or design to have a smaller carbon footprint.
